La dolce far niente

Yesterday we left Naples around  2pm after some shopping ;)
We wanted to leave in time because we had a 4,5 hour drive ahead to Ancona.... yep back on our way up North :( This means that slowly we are heading back home :((((((
But not so fast, we still have some really exciting places to visit and sights to see.

Ancona is actually just a pitstop because driving back up north in one day would have been way too long and exhausting. There is not really something we wanted to see out there. So we arrived at the hotel, got ready and hit town for dinner and cocktails....
I got to say it is a really nice city though, a fun place to stay for the night when you're passing through.

It's so interesting to see small and big differences between the North and the South of Italy. All kinds of differences actually, from food, to habits of the people, to the cars and the way people approach you. To experience this is part of what makes travelling so much fun. If I could, I would do it a whole lot more.... in my head I'm already making plans for a next vacation :p

This morning we checked out and enjoyed a whole afternoon at the beaches of Ancona. After a healthy and fulfulling lunch at McDonalds, we got back in our car around 5pm and drove further up North to Venice.

So that's where we're at right now!
I'm so excited to see the city tomorrow because it's supposed to be really beautiful and romantic... too bad I ain't here with the man of my dreams, lol.
