Borderlife

23 juni 2016 - Esztergom, Hongarije

No big cities today, first we made a small stop in Vác and in the afternoon in Esztergom. These are both small cities in Hungary but right on the border with Slovakia. In fact the Danube is the natural border here.
In Vác we walked around a little bit in the center. It's supposedly to be known for it's textile. But I'm pretty sure that all the clothes I saw where made in China, lol.
Anyway, we enjoyed the little streets and squares with again an amazing architecture.
Back on board we cruised further to Esztergom, a small town mostly known for its gigantic Basilica. Once arrived we took another walk all the way up the hill where they built the Basilica. Props to my pregnant sister to do all these walks everyday in this hot weather!

Once we left Esztergom the staff served ice cream on the sundeck.
I actually want to take this opportunity to thank the great staff on board of the My Story. These people really lift this cruise to a higher level. Always ready to help wherever they can. Always smiling and friendly. And on top of that they're also very funny. For example tonight we had a themed dinner, a 'Pirate Dinner'. I have to say I haven't laughed this much in a long time. After dinner they also did a show in the lounge. Honestly an amazing crew, they definitely make my vacation perfect!

In the evening my sister and I had a small surprise for our parents. Today they were married for 38 years !!! So we asked the musician in the lounge to play the opening dance of their wedding. We did a small speech and had them dance in front of everybody. I hope they liked it, lol ;-)

The rest of the day we were sailing since we have a long distance back to Vienna... our next stop!
